Meet the Family

Dr. Peter An Truong, DDS, MS

Meet Dr. Truong, a Southern California native with a passion for creating beautiful smiles. He earned his BS in Biology from UC Irvine and DDS from UCLA before moving to Texas for a 3-year specialty program at Texas A&M Health Science Center – Baylor College of Dentistry. There, he received his certificate in Orthodontics and MS in Oral Biology. In 2024 Dr. Truong joined the UCLA School of Dentistry – Graduate Section of Orthodontics as a part-time clinical faculty member. His primary role is to educate graduate residents on basic and advanced clinical techniques and skills.

Board-Certified Orthodontist

Dr. Truong is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Recognized by the American Dental Association’s Council on Dental Education as the only certifying board for Orthodontics, this distinction is held by only a select few, with less than 30% of orthodontists being certified.

Outside of work

Dr. Truong married his high-school sweetheart in 2013 (after a short 11 years of dating!)
He’s the proud dad of two, and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his lovely family.
He loves hiking, traveling, photography, basketball, being outdoors, food, and his beloved Lakers.
